Chuck McBride serves as chairman of one of the firm's two litigation departments. Chuck has extensive litigation experience, which includes the representation of clients in trial and pretrial matters in state and federal courts, arbitration and before the Mississippi Public Service Commission. He is experienced in the prosecution and defense of commercial claims ranging from breach of warranty to fraud, local and state taxation and in the defense of complex products and mass tort cases. Chuck also serves as counsel to several telecommunications clients, providing regular representation and counseling in connection with business and commercial matters. He is recognized by Woodward/White's Best Lawyers in America for his expertise in Communications Law.

Chuck graduated magna cum laude from the University of Mississippi School of Law in 1991 and was named Phi Delta Phi Province Graduate of the Year. He received his undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering from Mississippi State University in 1985. Before attending law school, Chuck served on active duty as a United States Army officer where he was awarded the Meritorious Service Medal and Army Achievement Medal. He and his wife, Mary Allen, have three children.

Representative Matters

• Serves as lead counsel to Cellular South, Inc., which is the largest privately held wireless carrier in the United States.
• Served as lead trial counsel in a federal civil fraud trial against individual client tried in 2004 to defense verdict. 
• Regularly practices before the Mississippi Public Service Commission on telecommunications matters.
• Served in the trial team defending a large chemical manufacturer in a federal lawsuit stemming from one of the worst ammonia plant disasters in history.
• Served as counsel in numerous litigated matters involving welding fumes, chemical exposure and silicone breast implants.
