Matt Allen
Associate
Matt Allen was named by Benchmark Litigation as one of twelve “Future Stars” in Mississippi. He joined the Brunini firm in 2005 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Barbour, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. He practices general civil litigation, and he has been engaged in a range of matters including commercial litigation, products liability litigation, mass torts litigation, and employment litigation. He is also engaged in the rezoning of properties.
Matt received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team, the Review of Litigation, and served as Assistant Moot Court Director for the Board of Advocates.
Before law school, Matt received his M.B.A. from the Else School of Management at Millsaps College, and his B.A. from Mississippi State University, where he was the Student Association President, the first ever Haley Barbour Scholar, and a finalist for the Rhodes Scholarship during his senior year.
Representative Matters
- Obtained a ruling from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, along with Brian Kimball and Johnny Wade, affirming the district court’s dismissal of a professional negligence claim against Beverly Enterprises-Mississippi, Inc.
