Matt Allen
Associate
Matt Allen practices general civil litigation, and he has been engaged in a range of matters including commercial litigation, products liability litigation, mass torts litigation, and employment litigation. He is also engaged in the rezoning of properties. Matt was named by Benchmark Litigation as one of twelve “Future Stars” in Mississippi.
He joined the Brunini Firm in 2005 after serving as a law clerk to the Honorable William H. Barbour, Jr. of the United States District Court for the Southern District of Mississippi. Matt received his J.D. from the University of Texas School of Law, where he was a member of the National Moot Court Team, the Review of Litigation, and served as Assistant Moot Court Director for the Board of Advocates.

Obtained a ruling from a three judge federal panel agreeing with the Secretary of State of the State of Mississippi's position regarding legislative redistricting in the State of Mississippi. Obtained a ruling from the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals, along with Brian Kimball and Johnny Wade, affirming the district court’s dismissal of a professional negligence claim against Beverly Enterprises-Mississippi, Inc.

action claims, and compelling to arbitration all state
law claims in Daniels v. Virginia
