Katie L. Wallace

Katie Wallace joined Brunini in 2005 in one of the Firm's litigation departments. Katie received her Juris Doctor magna cum laude from the University of
Mississippi School of Law, where she served as Associate Articles Editor of the
Mississippi Law Journal and received the Outstanding Student Award in Evidence.
Katie provides counseling to Firm clients
regarding utilization of the Internet and social media for advertising and marketing. Katie regularly prepares website terms and
conditions and other agreements to ensure legal compliance with privacy laws
and regulations, as well as other legal issues that affect website operators. Katie also regularly provides representation
to clients in litigated and non-litigated commercial disputes concerning issues
related to contracts, communications, antitrust, advertising and consumer
protection laws and intellectual property matters.
Representative Matters
- Provides advice to large regional company concerning
compliance with legal issues in operating interactive website and social media
applications with user-generated content, and prepares legal terms for same.
- Successfully represented national wastewater operator in
reversing a City’s award of contract to another bidder, which was subsequently
upheld by the Mississippi Supreme Court. City of Jackson
v. United Water Services, Inc., 47 So.3d 1160 (Miss. 2010).
