Shunda P. Baldwin
Associate

Shunda Pounders joined the Brunini firm in September 2004 as a member of the General Litigation Department. She has a broad litigation practice, which includes mass tort litigation, product liability, medical malpractice, personal injury, insurance bad faith, and commercial litigation representing national and local corporations. Shunda also assists creditors by collecting unpaid accounts in accordance with the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act.

While at Mississippi College School of Law, Shunda served as a member of the Law Review Staff, the Clerk for the Moot Court Board, and the President of the Black Law Students Association. Shunda’s scholastic accomplishments include Quarter Finalist in the 17th Annual Copeland, Cook, Taylor & Bush Moot Court Competition, Betty B. Tucker Award, and she was named an R. Jess Brown Scholar.

Shunda is also active in civic and non-profit organizations. She is a charter member of the Minority Advisory Board for Mississippi College School of Law, Chair of the Magnolia Bar Foundation's Annual High School Mock Trial Competition, and Co-chair of the Hinds County Bar Association’s Diversity Committee.

A native of Batesville, Mississippi, Shunda Pounders is a graduate of South Panola High School (1995), Jackson State University (1999), and Mississippi College School of Law (2004).
