Gene Wasson is a member of the firm.  He concentrates his practice primarily in the areas of energy law and environmental law. He has over fifteen years experience in preparing oil and gas title opinions, advising on curing title defects, and handling oil and gas related transactions, and represents clients before the Mississippi Oil and Gas Board. Additionally, he has extensive experience in preparing utility easement agreements, overseeing right-of-way acquisition projects, and litigating right-of-way disputes.  His environmental practice has spanned over fifteen years and has included numerous cases involving cost recovery under CERCLA, citizen suit claims under RCRA and the CWA, and common law claims related to environmental contamination. In addition, Mr. Wasson advises clients on all aspects of environmental compliance, permitting, due diligence, and contracting.  He has also advised clients on OSHA compliance and has contested OSHA citations.
