Diversity Committee - Mission

The Diversity Committee at Brunini was formed to purposefully advance the recruitment and retention of attorneys of diverse backgrounds, inclusive of race, religion, gender and sexual orientation. To that end, under a direct mandate from firm administration, the Committee was charged with developing a Diversity Action Plan that will be endorsed and funded by firm management. The Committee is also charged with reviewing existing policies; recommending changes if necessary for consistency; ensuring that diversity goals are promoted firm wide; and reporting their findings regularly.

The Diversity Action Plan will outline proactive policies to produce quantifiable, demonstrable results.  This includes, but is not limited to, revising and implementing hiring criteria to include diverse attorneys who may otherwise be overlooked; intensifying recruitment at historically diverse law schools; increasing the firm-wide effort to identify qualified minority candidates; intensifying the search for lateral hires of diverse attorneys; and implementing policies to retain diverse attorneys once they are hired.
