Brunini Hosts Regional IADC Meeting

On November 12, 2009, the Regional IADC Meeting was held in Jackson, Mississippi, at the law firm of Brunini, Grantham, Grower & Hewes ("Brunini").  Sharon Bridges, a Partner at Brunini, served as local IADC Chair. The topic for the meeting was "Making Rain in a Dry Economic Climate:  A Corporate Counsel Perspective." The panelists addressed a myriad of issues related to business development, client service, diversity and law firm rates.  The panelists shared examples of best practices related to client services.   Alan Lange, President of Kinetic Staffing moderated the panel discussion. The panelists included: Jeffrey Styre, Corporate Counsel for Southern Farm Bureau, Janet Bivins, Corporate Consel for DuPont, Steven Schaal, Assistant General Counsel for Tyson, Inc., Mary Beard, Senior Attorney for FedEx Coporation and Kathryn Washington, Assistant General Counsel for Entergy. Attendees included law firm attorneys and corporate counsel. A cocktail reception was held immediately following the meeting.
