Carmody and Fontan Obtain Favorable Ruling for Client

Steve Carmody and Chris Fontan were successful in obtaining a favorable ruling from the United States Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit that affirmed a jury verdict in favor of Brunini's client on a plaintiff's claim of employment-based retaliation. Brunini's client, a national poultry processor, was sued for allegedly terminating the plaintiff's employment in retaliation for reporting alleged violations of the Family and Medical Leave Act. In May 2009, Brunini obtained a defense verdict on behalf of its client in United States District Court before Judge Tom Lee.
