Biography

Benje is a seasoned litigator with extensive experience in handling complex commercial, products liability, trucking, toxic tort, and personal injury cases in state and federal courts in Mississippi and elsewhere.  He concentrates much of his practice on the defense of multi-state and federal multidistrict litigation, class actions, and mass torts.  Benje has represented healthcare insurers, product manufacturers, automobile dealers, and a variety of other types of clients in litigation.  Benje has been a member of trial teams on multi-state litigation concerning issues of national significance.

Benje has been recognized in The Best Lawyers® in America in Commercial Litigation, Mass Tort Litigation/Class Actions – Defendants, and Trademark Law. Mid-South© Rising Stars also recognized him in Business Litigation, and he is rated AV Preeminent by Martindale Hubbell.

Benje is a past Recruiting Chairman and Associate Liaison of the Firm. Benje is active in the Firm’s global legal network, Meritas, in which he has served on the Board of Directors and currently serves as the Chair of the North American Litigation Practice Group.

Benje Bailey joined the Brunini Firm in 2000.  He received his Bachelor of Professional Accountancy from Mississippi State University in 1997 and his Juris Doctor from the University of Mississippi in 2000, where he was a member of the Moot Court Board and the Mississippi Law Journal.

Benje and his wife, Mimi, have four children and are active in their church, Pinelake.
