A number of the Firm’s attorneys have represented corporate clients and individuals in state and federal grand jury investigations and white collar criminal matters. Compliance with various statutory and regulatory mandates, such as those that are part of Sarbanes-Oxley and the Federal Anti-Kickback Statute, require corporations to police themselves and proactively respond to claims of misconduct. We have experience conducting internal investigations as part of such compliance efforts and are aware of the sensitive issues that can arise during the course of those investigations. The investigation process requires diligence, care and experience to ensure waiver of important privileges does not occur. After we complete our investigation, we can confidently advise our clients on the proper course of action to take based on the results. The Firm has also represented clients in matters involving the False Claims Act, mail and wire fraud, securities fraud, Medicare and Medicaid fraud, and federal environmental laws.
